What is a promo server

Promo - promotional tariff of our hosting, aimed at attracting new customers. Its peculiarity is the provision of characteristics that are several times higher than the cost of the tariff itself. In fact, the tariff is highly unprofitable, because, with such characteristics, the real cost of a virtual server without discounts would be 950 rubles per month. However, Aéza pays for you most of its characteristics, so that each client can get his personal productive server with the best characteristics for only 109 rubles!

Factually the promo was created for initial acquaintance of clients with how virtual and dedicated servers work. How our clients usually use it and what tasks they solve, we will tell you further.

What are the limitations of this tariff

In order to maintain the lowest price, we had to sacrifice some of the additional free services available for all our other tariffs. These include:

• Lack of any support. Unlike full plans, promo servers cannot take advantage of free promo server administration, software installation assistance, support for technical issues of software code optimization and hardware configuration. All additional services are not available for promo plans and will require you to handle such tasks on your own.
• Lack of performance enhancements. Often, when using hosting, there is a need to improve its own characteristics of the server, increasing RAM or processor cores, hard disk capacity, speed of the Internet channel. For promo-tariff increase resources are completely unavailable, they are the initial stage for the transition of new customers to full-fledged hosting services.
• No possibility to order IPv4 addresses. The cost of the tariff does not cover the actual cost of providing the tariff and to purchase additional IPv4 addresses you will need to upgrade to a full hosting tariff in any of our locations.
• IOPS limit: 1000 per server. To optimize hard drive usage and avoid wear and tear, promotional rates also cannot exceed the number of IOPS to NVMe in one second. Typically, 1000 IOPS is sufficient for most initial tasks for which the promotional rate was created. For comparison, this value usually **exceeds the speeds of hard disk drives by 8-10 times.
• Communication channel limits up to 100 Mbps. This rule also allowed us to keep costs down and provide such a low cost promotional service. You can always switch to a full tariff if you need a more productive Internet channel.
• (for AMS-PROMO) Automatic disconnection in case of RAM overconsumption. When actively using RAM on the promotional plan at the peak of the allocated limit of 8 GB, you may find that your server exceeds this memory limit. In this case, the automatic system will shut down your server. This is due to the lack of reserved RAM in the promotional tariff and to prevent other users' servers from using RAM.

SWE-PROMO tariff has reserved resources, due to which automatic shutdowns in case of RAM overrun do not occur and you can load the available 4 GB RAM for years.

We would like to note in advance that in the same Minecraft 8GB RAM allows you to simultaneously accept up to 160 players, but we recommend you to watch the capabilities of your processor, as demanding actions, such as the command /set can take all of its computing resources, making a comfortable game of a large number of players is not possible.
