How do I install Keitaro?

To install the Keitaro tracker we will need:

• Server with CentOS 8 or 9
• Access to the server via SSH
• Keitaro license key at the end of the trial period
• Console to connect (Putty for Windows or Terminal for macOS)

Register and obtain an installation key

Go to Keitaro's website and start registration via the "Sign up" button in the upper right corner.

Start registering for a key

Enter any name and personal email (will be verified by letter), future password. And click the checkbox about agreeing to the rules of the service, wait for the registration button "Sign up".

Next, go to your email and confirm your registration via the button or link in the email from Keitaro:

After confirming the mail, you will find yourself on your active activation keys page. This includes a free key for the Keitaro test period. You will be able to copy it by clicking.

Installing Keitaro Trial Version

Let's open your server console on CentOS 8 or 9.

You can use our instructions on opening the console.

After connecting to the server and authorizing, let's enter the Keitaro install command:

yum update -y && curl keitaro.io/install.sh > run && bash run -l ru

Press Enter and wait for the installation to complete. It will take 4 to 10 minutes, depending on your plan (DEs-1 installed keitaro in 9 minutes).

During the installation, we may be asked the following questions:

1. Install free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates? 1.1 Answer no if we install Keitaro in the root of our server. Then specify the domains that will need the certificate. 1.2 Or yes if you are going to install a domain and get an SSL certificate.
2. Specify any Keitaro administrator username and password.
3. Specify the license key obtained on the licenses page or purchased after the test period.

Once ready, connect to the control panel address:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/admin

Enter your activation key obtained from the licenses page, your system currency and your time zone for correct time display.

Specify any administrator username and password for future Keitaro login.

Congratulations, you can now use all of Keitaro's features. We advise you to keep your admin details in a safe place. The free trial period will last 14 days, you can extend it there.
